Douglas Davidson
I am a Renaissance Geek. A product and historian of pop culture.
Terminator was the first R-rated film I ever saw, Super Mario Brothers will forever remain one of the greatest video games ever played, and my love affair with music, though it began long before puberty, solidified while attempting to do math(my least favorite course) when the artist formerly known as Prince came on the radio with the track 7. It’s not a fantastic song, but it helped me answer my homework, and from that day, music leads my way.
Some of my favorite things:
Coheed & Cambria
Feathers from Good Apollo I’m Burning Star IV, Vol. 2: No World For Tomorrow (2007)
Aerosmith
Amazing from Get A Grip (1993)
Podcasts
WNYC’s Radiolab
It’s science meets pop culture meets philosophy meets science.
Favorite previous topics include: War of the Worlds, Quantum Cello, Wordless Music, and Memory & Forgetting.
